Inspections are required for all structures under construction, new or existing, which require a Collier County permit. The North Collier Fire Prevention Bureau conducts inspections for all structures within its District’s boundaries.
Guidelines for Requesting Inspection for Permitted Job
- North Collier Fire District requires that all inspection requests be received no later than 3:30 p.m. You will receive confirmation of your request for inspection within 1 business day.
- Time specific inspections can be requested for an additional fee of $100. Time specific requests will be honored as scheduling allows.
- If you require an inspection outside of normal business hours, you may request an overtime inspection by calling 239-597-9227. Additional fees will apply.
- Cancellation of any inspection shall be made no later than 8 a.m. on the day of the inspection. Failure to cancel the inspection by 8 a.m. shall result in re-inspection fees.
- Inspections are scheduled in AM (8am – 12 Noon) or PM (1pm – 5pm) blocks, Monday – Friday, excluding District recognized holidays.
- The Fire Inspector will call you prior to arriving at your inspection site.
- For permitted inspections only, approved Collier County stamped plans (original and revisions), permit cards and any additional documentation shall always be on the job site. If these documents are not on the job site upon the inspector’s arrival, the inspection shall be canceled, and re-inspection fees applied.
- By requesting inspections through North Collier Fire, you grant permission for Fire Inspectors to photograph all items related to the building or site to be inspected.
- Only the permit holder is authorized to call in an inspection on their respective permits.
- Inspections may be canceled or delayed due to fire rescue emergencies; however, you will be notified if your inspection is canceled.
- Inspection fees are due prior to inspection(s) and cannot be accepted in the field by our Fire Inspectors.
